Each month you’ll click a payment link—easy. Delivery is typically $250–$350 (cash due at delivery; stairs/complex setups may add cost) and usually happens within 2–3 days unless you prefer a delay. What is the Main Difference between the Spinet and other upright pianos?

The hammers are the same size in ALL 4 piano styles.  The Spinet Piano keys will PULL up the hammers to strike the strings.  In the larger pianos, the keys will PUSH up the hammers to strike the strings.

Because the soundboard of a Spinet is the shortest of the piano family, the ‘hammer action’ is lowered to fit inside the piano and therefore the hammers need to be leveraged differently than they are in the larger brothers.

Cross Section of Upright Pianos

Notice, all the hammers are the same size, but it's where they are placed in relation to the size of the soundboard making the difference being the spinet keys PULL up the hammer action while the others PUSH up the action hammers.

  • What a great business! Jay and his crew delivered my piano today - what a beautiful instrument! Jay loves the piano and it shows. He taught me about what he does to fix and clean them when I was in the showroom, showed me how he tunes it after delivery, and gave the family a little concert. I am so delighted with my new (to me) piano, and would recommend anyone looking for one to contact Jay! He is an absolute gem and does beautiful work!

  • Jay really has a great thing going! There are lots of pianos on many different listings, but Jay takes the gamble out of finding a good one for a reasonable price. He knows his pianos and makes sure he delivers one in good working condition.

  • Jay is an amazing musician and technician! He brought our 100 year old baby grand back to life. Affordable and he goes the extra mile... all the way to Littleton from Lyons! He took the extra time it needed to make our baby sing! Thanks Jay!

  • We were so grateful that they were willing to deliver a piano all the way down to us in Colorado Springs! It was surprisingly inexpensive for them to travel so far. They were also very kind. Jay played Charlie Brown for our kids while they danced, they loved it. Piano is beautiful. So glad we found them!

  • Jay has been amazing to work with at our lesson studio. He took some of our highly used pianos off our hands, and we were able to upgrade another piano at a great price! His delivery team was easy to work with, and we are very happy with all our interactions with Jay and the Pianos for Humanity team. Thank you!
