 Founded in 1956 by three brothers in South Korea, Young Chang began as a distributor of Yamaha pianos before building its own manufacturing facilities in 1964. The company expanded globally in the 1980s and acquired Kurzweil Music Systems and the Weber brand in the 1990s. Following financial challenges, the company was acquired by the Hyundai Development Company in 2006 and currently operates major production facilities in China and Korea to this day.
