Main Difference between the Spinet and others

The hammers are the same size in ALL 4 piano styles. The Spinet Piano keys will PULL up the hammers to strike the strings. In the larger pianos, the keys will PUSH up the hammers to strike the strings.

Because the soundboard of a Spinet is the shortest of the piano family, the ‘hammer action’ is lowered to fit inside the piano and therefore the hammers need to be leveraged differently than they are in the larger brothers.

Notice, all the hammers are the same size, but it's where they are placed in relation to the size of the soundboard making the difference being the spinet keys PULL up the hammer action while the others PUSH up the action hammers.

We were so grateful that they were willing to deliver a piano all the way down to us in Colorado Springs! It was surprisingly inexpensive for them to travel so far. They were also very kind. Jay played Charlie Brown for our kids while they danced, they loved it. Piano is beautiful. So glad we found them!

Jay is amazing! He was incredibly patient with me and found just the piano my family was dreaming of. His attention to detail is astounding, he made the finish of the piano nearly new again and for my untrained (but aspiring) musical ears, it sounds absolutely beautiful! Very fair price also, since it includes tuning, restoration and delivery. My family will cherish this heirloom for years to come.

We highly recommend Jay, he deserves more than 5 stars. He had a great selection of spinets and helped us pick the perfect one for our family. He was very responsive answering questions every time I called. He was extremely reliable delivering as promised, just in time for Christmas, even on the coldest day of the year in sub-zero temps and snow covered roads! When my novice pianist is ready to upgrade to the next level of piano I will be making my first call to Jay for sure! Thanks Jay, for letting me give my daughter the surprise of a lifetime!

Fabulous experience! In February we bought a Wurlitzer Spinette for our daughters who had been taking piano lessons for about 2 years. They had outgrown the keyboard on which they learned. Jay made the experience fun and made sure the piano we chose was a good fit for our family. The delivery was fast and and efficient. We are loving hearing music fill our home!
