This is a simple but elegant spinet. It’s good. It plays fine. It is cosmetically fine. If you think it would look good in your space, it will light up the room, especially when someone plays it.
Made by the Kincaid Piano Company, formerly called the Grand Piano Company. The Marantz name came about because of the Pianocorder system (the first player/recorder piano to use cassette tape for playback – think pianodisc) built by the Superscope division of Marantz in Chatsworth, CA. They bought the Grand Piano Company, changed the name to Kincaid Piano Company, branched into furniture.
